né dans le Gapençais, mort à Sisteron (vida); fils de jongleur (Azar), bon musicien; ca. 1220; Taylor 1977 1210-1225; Dico MA il vécut vers 1200-1220; BS p509 n4 séjourna auprès du Dauphin d'Auvergne, puis d'un roi d'Aragon, puis passa par la cour de Thomas Ier de Savoie, fut ensuite le client des Montferrat, des Este et des Malaspina; et c'est en Italie qu'il écrivit -- entre 1210 et 1221 env -- presque toutes les pièces dont on peut fixer la date; GRLMA II.1.7:30 né vers fin XII, fl. fin XII, ou bien 1200-1250; #1 avant 1220 (mort de G Malaspina), #8 avant 1225 (mort de Peirol ca 1225); séjourna auprès du Dauphin d'Auvergne (Robert Ier) à Montferrand, auprès d'un roi d'Aragon (Peire II ou Alfonso II), a fréquenté les cours de Montferrat, d'Este, de Ravenne, et de Malaspina; may also have known Peire Raimon, UcSCirc, LanfCig; GRLMA II.1.7: 454 sans doute pas identique à Albert {13}; BEdT 1999/07/27 generazione 4= 1190-1235; BEdT 1.5 ante 1200, luogo di attività: Italia sett., Monferrato; Provenza; DBT 36-38 fl. 1175-1220;
