DBT 302 Lachin 2004 has shown her to be the compagne/convivente di Ravano dalle Carceri, avventuriero veronese parti- to per la quarta crociata al servizio della Serenissima e ben presto legatosi a Bonifacio del Monferrato che, dopo l’occupazione nel 1205 dell’Eubea, ne diede in feudo un terzo proprio al suo partigiano veneto in cerca di fortuna oltremare. Nel 1208 Ravano assunse il titolo di «sire de Nigrepont» e il 27 maggio 1212 ottenne dal ponte ce Innocenzo III l’autorizzazione a sposare I. nel frattempo rimasta vedova;
